A neighborhood built for immersive experiences 1-hour from Tokyo
ZuCity is creating our own neighborhood for free spirits and free thinkers in the Japanese Alps. Living with a purpose to do what we didnt even imagine. Visit our coliving and community spaces for building, coding, farming, and exploring.
ZuCity Neighborhood: Three houses. One venue. 5 minute walks to each other.
We are next to central Komoro along the historic Hokkoku Kaido street. Each ZuCity space has its own personality: the private club, the kitchen with homemade miso, the always expanding library, the rooms we rebuilt ourselves. Explore the map to see where you'll be.

Three pillars: Ownership. Culture. Events.
A Neighborhood Inside a Living Community. Events are your gateway. Coliving is our daily mode. We own the houses, so we can create anything we want. We write the calendar, so the rhythm fits the people in it. Popups are more structured, intense, global, open-houses. Coliving is slow, deep, reality-bending progress on yourself, your life, and your projects.
Our Neighborhood
3 houses <5-min walk. Stay a week or months in our cozy community homes with access to coworking spaces, .
Local Intel
We live here. Our friends and nearby communities run stores, host events, and give us on-the-ground updates around our area.
Events
Popup cities, workshops, movie & game nights, sauna parties, live music and more adventures await.
Infrastructure
Food gardens, solar panels, local AI servers, off-grid water. Everything you need to thrive and build.
Annual Residencies
Long-term Coliving
Our default. Months exploring the Japanese countryside, chilling with locals, and enjoying our labors bringing our neighborhood life.
Build Month ・ July-Aug
Four weeks of sleeves-up work — carpentry, art, and gardens — building the spaces the rest of the year lives in. Sweat equity, real tools, and making rooms we use for coliving and popup cities.
Popup City ・ Sept-Oct
One month, four themed weeks, our whole neighborhood turned into a temporary city. Live in the houses, build in the venue, and leave with people you'll keep.
